The old Trafford was opened on the 19th Febuary 1910 with a match between Manchester and Liverpool (3:4). The capacity was slightly over 80,000, which was 30,000 more than Manchester's old stadium. During World War 2 Old Trafford got heavily demanged by German air raids. The rebuild took eight years and during that time Manchester played at the ground of their rivals Manchester City. Man United moved back to the reconstructed Old Trafford in 1949. In the following decades the stadium was renovated and they crunstucted also the first private boxes at a britsh footballstadium. In 2006, the stadium reached it's current capacity of 75,811 seats and Man United might expand it to 95,000 seats.
